Frosted Landing
A view accross Ullswater to Silver point taken on a very cold, crispy, foggy and very frosty April morning at the landings behind the Glenridding Hotel in the village of Glenridding on the southern shore of Ullswater. The lake was like a mirror but it was so cold I could hardly press the shutter and the jetty was like an ice rink. There was no sunrise but just a glimmer of light through parts of the fog. I mistakenly under exposed this frame, but adjusting the contrast and exposure has accentuated the magenta cast which seems to suite the icy cold, gloomy mood.
